Assistant Director – Commissioning & Performance – Adult Social Care

Salary: up to circa £95,000

We are already well on our way to developing our network of senior leaders, from Chief Executive to Assistant Director level. This leadership network is building a supportive “one-team” culture which will be central to our future approach and will create the solid foundations needed to drive future service improvements.

The Assistant Director – Commissioning & Performance – Adult Social Care will be a central role to this ambition. As a core member of the Strategic Leadership Team for Adult Services, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, engagement, operational and statutory delivery of key services and accountability for the financial and budgetary management and control of the budget for Adult Social Care. You will provide strategic leadership and direction for the delivery and development of Adult Services and provide assurance that the best possible outcomes are being delivered for people who use services and family carers.

This will require a detailed understanding of the legislative frameworks and statutory requirements relating to adult social care services and a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of financial management and control requirements for Adult Social Care. You will have an understanding of best practice models across social care and a track record of successfully generating new and innovative business cases to implement transformation and manage change effectively. Your knowledge and experience of the commercial market for adult social care and ability to successfully generate new business opportunities to generate income and maximise resources will be exceptional.
